Our Mental Health Skill-building Services (MHSB) program at Personal Solutions Counseling Services helps persons learn about their mental health conditions while retaining stability and independence in their homes and communities. If you or a loved one is suffering from a common diagnosis and behavior like Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar I or II, Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Poor ADL Management, Isolation, Poor Money Management, or Poor Medication Management, we can help.

Intensive In-Home Services

Our Intensive In-Home Therapeutic Services are designed to provide frequent and structured time-limited therapeutic intervention services to children who are at high risk of being placed in professional treatment centers or foster care due to major behavioral health issues. IIH services aim to avoid out-of-home placements by providing information on family building.

Comprehensive Crisis Services

Our Community Stabilization and Mobile Crisis Response services are available 24 hours a day to respond to mental health issues. Individuals in acute psychiatric distress receive intensive short-term mental health help from us. The goal is to stabilize the client as soon as possible to avoid hospitalization by designing a care plan that fully addresses their mental health and safety concerns.

  • Are counseling sessions confidential?

    Yes. As professional mental health therapists, we believe that confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and their therapist. Therapy requires a high level of trust in order to be successful. What you discuss in your sessions will not be shared with anyone without your written permission (to update your physician, attorney, etc.) State law and professional ethics requires therapists to break confidentiality in the following situations:

    Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders to the authorities, including Child Protection and law enforcement, based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.

    If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threatened to harm another person.

    Teletherapy is the delivery of therapy and counseling services via video conferencing. Teletherapy is slowly becoming more popular amongst clients, especially since the pandemic. Teletherapy has allowed us to deliver quality services to clients in the comforts of their homes. This can potentially eliminate some of the reluctance people feel when seeking out a counselor and helps keep both the counselor and patient safe. Teletherapy has also allowed us to improve access to care. You no longer have to worry about traffic or driving long distances to get the care you deserve. If you live in a small community or are unable to find a provider near you that is covered by your insurance, teletherapy could potentially be a great option for you.
