Personal Solutions Counseling Services was founded with a clear purpose: to provide behavioral health services that are genuinely centered on the people we serve. From the beginning, our approach has been to meet clients in their own communities, work alongside their families, and build support systems that last beyond treatment.

When I founded Personal Solutions Counseling Services, I had a straightforward goal: to build an agency that actually shows up for people.
I have seen firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate the behavioral health system, especially when you are already struggling. Appointments are hard to keep. Services are fragmented. And too often, the people who need the most support are asked to do the most work to access care.
We built Personal Solutions to do things differently. Our services are designed around the person, not the paperwork. We meet clients in their homes and communities, build treatment plans that reflect their actual lives, and stay connected to the people and systems around them so that care does not stop at the door of a session.
I am proud of what our team has built here, and I am grateful to every client, family, and community partner who has trusted us to be part of their journey.

Personal Solutions Counseling Services was built to serve the Richmond metropolitan area because this is our community. We understand the gaps in local mental health care, and we have designed our programs specifically to fill them, providing services where other systems fall short.
Our community-based model means we do not wait for people to find their way to a clinic. We go to them. We partner with schools, hospitals, social service agencies, and community organizations throughout Henrico, Richmond, Chesterfield, and surrounding counties to ensure that individuals and families can access care without unnecessary barriers.
More than 2,000 individuals and families served since 2016, providing compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health and substance use treatment services.
Offering a comprehensive continuum of care that includes Community Stabilization, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Medication Management, Care Coordination, and VARR-Certified Recovery Residences.
Over 25 referral partners throughout Central Virginia, including healthcare providers, hospitals, correctional facilities, social service agencies, courts, and community organizations working together to improve access to care.
Committed to reducing psychiatric hospitalization, incarceration, homelessness, and out-of-home placement through timely, community-based behavioral health and recovery services.
Empowering individuals to achieve lasting recovery, improved mental wellness, greater independence, and stronger connections within their communities.
